Kacie is a Manager in the Compensation and Benefits practice specializing in the design, review and roll out of international equity plans including stock option plans, employee stock purchase plans and restricted stock plans. Kacie assists clients in expanding their equity programs to employees abroad by advising companies of the regulatory issues in each jurisdiction, providing tax efficient alternatives to the current plan and ensuring the successful implementation of the equity plan in each location. Additionally, Kacie has extensive experience supporting clients involved in mergers and acquisitions and spin-off transactions by identifying the regulatory issues and risks (i.e., taxation, withholding and reporting, securities, etc.) related to the equity instruments outstanding, representing the client with issues involving the local authorities (i.e., rulings and tax liability calculations) and drafting communications to effectively explain the consequences of the transaction to the employee.
Kacie has an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Louisiana.
Kacie's client experience has ranged from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies including Hewlett-Packard, Riverstone Networks, Borland Software, the Gap, Metron Technology, and Starbucks Coffee Company.
