Jim is the Pacific Northwest Area Leader for the Ernst & Young Human Capital Practice. As part of this role, he is responsible for the Global Equity Consulting Practice on the west coast. Jim has consults with pre-IPO and public companies in connection with design and implementation of their global equity plans. He has assisted multinational companies with plan design, tax and legal due diligence reviews, devising corporate tax planning strategies, plan implementation assistance, vendor coordination, process mapping, development of administrative procedural manuals, employee communication material, and project management. In addition to the above, he has consulted with companies on global equity issues in respect to mergers & acquisitions, cross-border tax issues, and broad based stock re-pricing strategies.

In addition to the above, Jim is an account manager in the Human Capital Group. In this role Jim consults with companies on a number of human capital areas including cost optimization, business performance improvement, workforce globalization, and learning effectiveness.

Prior to his focus on global compensation and benefits, Jim worked for the over 10 years in both the accounting and corporate tax groups. His experience includes international planning for individuals and corporations. A significant amount of his time was spent in the expatriate tax area. He has worked with multinational companies in the structuring of international assignment programs, cross border planning, and process improvement.

Jim is a CPA and earned a B.S. in Accounting from Montclair State University in Upper Montclair, New Jersey. In addition, he is also a regular speaker at various organizations including E*Trade, World-at-Works, NASPP, GEO, and TEI.
